Supporting distance learners in Special Collections
My colleagues and I were approached by Dr. Rabia Gregory to make a video in support of a distance education course she taught during summer 2016. Although the students were not able to visit Special Collections in person, she wanted them to get a feel for the available materials. We put together a video tour focusing on three manuscripts that had been used in monastic settings, in keeping with the theme of the course, and collaborated with the distance learning staff on the video production. This pilot project has led to other requests from instructors who teach online courses as well.
