Special Collections website redesign
When I started working at MU Libraries in 2011, the Special Collections website was outdated and chaotic — and I can say that, because I designed that version of the website in 2004, during a previous stint as a para-professional staff member. The overall Libraries site was due for a redesign in 2013, so I planned to refresh the Special Collections site at the same time.
I did card sorts with Special Collections users and students to inform the navigation design, reorganized existing content, and designed and developed the new front end. The current website content is managed in WordPress, and I developed the front end by coding CSS, slight edits to some of the PHP templates, and creating graphics in Photoshop.
